A journey with instruments
From childhood, Arhan was drawn toward music by unknown forces. His fingers first met the black and white keys while he was still in primary school within school melodica choir, Throughout his childhood, he played various instruments from melodica to harmonica and the xylophone. He also experimented with percussion, darbuka, accordion, piano, and guitar. Eventually, feeling the power of the urge to play what his eyes saw, he surrendered himself to the path of the black and white keyboard keys.
The age of analogue discovery
Living through the luck and privilege of being a child and teenager in iconic decades like the 70's and 80's, he constantly listened to high-quality local and foreign music via FM radio, reel-to-reel tapes, recently invented Walkman, cassettes, and vinyl records. He fell in love with singers, attended their concerts, and collected their autographs. At the time, he was unaware of what a massive treasure his growing record collection would become for his future DJ career.
Emotion based production seeds
Dance was a natural part of life for Generation X. Not a day went by without going to a party and dancing non-stop for five or six hours. During these years, he loved and excelled at all types of dance. However, his favorite moments were when the tempo dropped and girls and boys shared romantic slow dances. He was, of course, unaware that these emotion-filled atmospheres would later inspire the lyrics he would write. Although he wondered if he should sing himself, he realized it wasn't his game and concluded that he would eventually find a "magical vocalist" to realize his dreams.
Technological evolution
Everything evolved into a different dimension in the late 80's when borrowed the revolutionary Casio VL-1 from a friend. He was mesmerized by the device, creating rhythms and melodies with fascination. Things became much more serious in the following years when he acquired his first synthesizer, the Roland D-10. Although it contained every sound, effect, and percussion imaginable, over the years he began synthesizing his own custom sounds. Before the internet and digital revolution, he was providing self-made sound banks on 3.5-inch floppy disks to the global scene. Later, working with countless keyboards, samplers and studio gear, he continued his composition journey starting with the Atari ST-1040 and Cubase ST DAW.
Self discovery: DJ'ing and producing
During those same years, his amateur DJ'ing also leveled up, evolving into playing "quality and emotion-filled music" for the masses in nightclubs across Turkey and the UK, as well as on Capital Radio — "Turkiye's Hottest music." While his ear was being trained by the chart-toppers and global hits, he continued to develop his production skills. He began creating his own tracks with his own sounds and lyrics, composing for every love, every sadness, and every excitement he experienced. He recorded his tracks in studios and presented them to the connoisseurs of Turkish music, such as Selmi Andak and Garo Mafyan, at the TRT audition boards. He worked hard to realize many of his dreams, from youth festivals and New Year's concerts to performing Turkey's first-ever Underground/House live performance.
The drift and resurrection
After his higher education, he was swept up in the allure of corporate gears and moved music to the background to take part in international projects; however, he never stopped writing songs and lyrics. It was only after his 40's that he realized how quickly time had passed and how he had neglected his true passion—music-making—while fulfilling the obligations of life. He began extracting his tracks from the dusty pages of history, working long hours to transfer and update them. Following this period of enlightenment, by the end of 2024, he completed the pre-production and secured the copyrights for the first 12 chosen tracks. This represents the culmination of thirty-five years of dream coming true for him. While his remaining works are being refined for release in near future, his "muses" continue to give him fresh inspiration for completely new songs.
Finding the missing pieces: MIDIVOXX
Now, there was only one thing left to complete the puzzle. The most crucial piece of all. The "MIDI" side of the work was ready, but the "VOXX" was missing. After a long and tireless search, a "miracle of fate" occurred: his path crossed with Yağmur, the perfect voice to reflect the emotion and energy of those tracks emerging from years in a "Pandora's Box." From those first days, he joined forces with his "Compass," Denizcan, who believed in him and walked shoulder-to-shoulder with him through even the most difficult and hopeless moments. In this way, Arhan’s 35 years of dreams and hard work would finally come to light in the most successful way possible. Arhan now carries the happy pride of knowing that his treasures, which waited years to be discovered, will not vanish, but will instead be left to the future as a "quality music" legacy.
