Born to sing
Yağmur, undoubtedly was born during the golden age of music. In the year 2000, she came into the world silently as her family’s first child. That was when Kenan Doğulu and Tarkan songs were staples in every household, While her family believed babies needed silence to sleep, the situation was always different for her; she wouldn't fall asleep unless Kral FM was playing. The way she kept rhythm with her hands and bobbed her head was always perfectly in sync with the music. Even then, it was clear she had a "musical genius".
The early days
During her elementary school years, this passion wasn't limited to just sound; the desire to play an instrument also emerged. She took turns in the violin, piano, and guitar. Each progressed to a certain point, but her urge to sing always won over the others. Eventually, she found herself in a children's choir.
In the 5th grade, the experience of a polyphonic choir absolutely enchanted her. The stage, the lights, the audience watching with bated breath. Her heart felt like it would jump out of her chest. In that moment, she realized exactly where she belonged for the rest of her life.
The journey to the stage
In the high school years, winning a rank in a karaoke competition led her to a choir traveling to Italy. Although singing in Italian was a challenge, her perseverance overcame this challenge too.
During her university years, when life seemed to stand still due to the pandemic, singing at home was the one thing that made her feel alive. Despite a few warnings from the neighbors, she never stopped. She spent hours in front of the mirror with a hairbrush microphone, dreaming of being on stage.
The meeting of fates: Becoming the VOXX
Then, her confidence was re-established in a "twist of fate" occasion when she was introduced to the "MIDI" side of MIDIVOXX. While she was looking for authentic, melodic and emotion filled songs to perform, a "Pandora’s Voxx" was revealed to her, bringing dozens of songs that had been prepared years ago and kept hidden away until the time was right. She was thrilled to become the voice for these hidden gems and even though they didn't know each other before, she and Arhan were actually seeking and destined to realize the same big dream.
Today, looking back, she thinks the law of resonance really did its job well. This magical journey, which brought people from diverse origins together, had initiated a fascinating way to move forward altogether on a path full of light.
